Trans North Bus & Coach Service operates a Kuranda Shuttle Bus that completes one return service per day. This service operates Monday to Saturday except Christmas Day, Good Friday and is designed to link with the Skyrail and Kuranda Scenic Railway.

This is a 'Hail & Ride' service and bookings are not taken. Ticket purchases are made from the driver as you board the bus and is cash only.
The Cairns bus stops are located at:
- Cairns Central Shopping Centre, Bus bays at Qld Rail (platform 1)
- Smithfield Bus Shelter, Kennedy Highway

- 15 Therwine Street, Kuranda
To assist students attending TAFE and Cairns High School, the service from Atherton at 7:15am travels via Caravonica, TAFE and Cairns High School.
