Trans NorthBus & Coach
Trans North Bus & Coach was established in 1983 by the Paronella family, beginning with a single school run from Forrest Beach to Ingham. In 1996, the company grew with the acquisition of Forrest Bus Service in Ingham and Panorama Coaches in Innisfail, followed by the purchase of Mission Beach Bus Service in 2003.
In 2010, Trans North joined the Donric Group, along with Coopers Bus Service in Mirani. Subsequent acquisitions of Hendo’s Bus Service in Ayr and Bowen Transit further strengthened the company’s footprint across Far North Queensland.
In 2025, Trans North extended its footprint on the Tablelands with the acquisition of Emersons Bus Company in Malanda, a long-standing family business in the Tablelands region.
Today, Trans North operates over 130 vehicles across ten districts, delivering government-contracted urban, school, and long-distance transport services throughout these regions.

We take a great deal of pride in our bus and coach drivers. They are all dedicated professionals with hands on experience in transporting large groups of people. We provide comprehensive training in vehicle handling skills and help ensure our drivers are knowledgeable in the suburbs, towns, and cities they visit. All drivers wear the Company uniform whilst on duty and are solely responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of their vehicles. Our drivers are courteous and friendly and are always ready to offer extra assistance or information where necessary.
